REBOOT NH- presented by Kilroy’s Computer Services

Giving computers and people a second chance to connect.

Hi Rochester, NH and surrounding towns!

I am proud to announce a new initiative I am starting today.

Introducing Reboot NH — Presented by Kilroy's Computer Services

Technology shouldn't be out of reach. Reboot NH is a community program I've been quietly building with that belief at its core, and today it's officially live.

Here's how it works: I take in donated, unwanted, or broken computers, go through every one of them myself, and offer them back to the community at prices that actually make sense. Think of it like a used car with low miles. It might have a scuff or scratch on the outside, but under the hood everything has been gone through, tested, and is running perfectly. Not every donated machine makes the cut. Older or heavily worn systems may be responsibly recycled rather than refurbished, but nothing goes to waste. They're community machines given a second life by a local tech who genuinely cares about what goes out the door. If they do not meet the strict requirements for Windows 11, then they will have Windows 10 installed, unless a Linux installation is requested. I will not over-ride Windows 11 TPM 2.0 or other requirements just to say it has Windows 11.

Every Windows machine includes a solid-state drive, Microsoft Office 2024 Pro, fresh Windows install, and a verified working battery and charger (when applicable). I check for liquid damage, inspect everything internally, and upgrade RAM where it makes sense. You're not getting a wiped laptop in a box. You're getting a machine that's been went through thoroughly.

A note on who this program is for:

Reboot NH exists specifically for community members who need reliable, affordable technology. Students, seniors, job seekers, families starting fresh. If that's you or someone you know, these machines are meant for you. Out of respect for the people this program is designed to serve, we kindly ask that resellers look elsewhere. These prices reflect our commitment to the community, not the resale market.

Have a computer you're not using?

I'm accepting donations of old, broken, or unwanted laptops and computers and will pick them up for free. Machines that can be refurbished go back into the program. Those that can't are responsibly recycled rather than ending up in a landfill. I also accept general e-waste for free pickup. Keeping electronics out of landfills matters, and donated parts may find new life in future Reboot NH systems. (No standalone broken monitors please.)

Every donation helps this program reach one more person in our community!
